Smartphone Market Update: Q2 Wrap-up and Q3 Forecasts

Sm_Q2_1 In the second quarter, various Android-based smartphones were released from SK Telecom to compete with the domestic smartphone market-leading Apple iPhone offered thru KT. As in the first quarter, the iPhone is the center of the fast-growing smartphone space. SK Telecom has, however, started to successfully make a dent in changing the mood toward Android phones.

For first Android phone, Motoroi Received 20,000 Pre-orders

The first Android-based smartphone in the local market, Motorola Motoroi, received pre-orders for 20,000 units from January 26th to February 4th, said SK Telecom.
