The trade figures in October show that the growth rates for wireless communications devices moved into positive territory for the first time in 2010 thanks to the strong showing of smartphones, according to the Ministry of Knowledge Economy.
Exports of smartphones in October passed one billion US$ for the first time ever, with an increase of 243% over the previous month, giving traction to overall mobile phone exports.
