Apple iPhone has sold one million units as of September 16th in Korea since its debut in November. The number of subscribers to the iPhone 3GS is 898,500 and iPhone 4 users are at 116,698.
Considering the remaining group of people who have pre-ordered the iPhone 4, KT's iPhone users will easily pass 1.2 million in early October. KT received 350,000 pre-orders before the launch of the iPhone 4.

Samsung Electronics has announced it plans to launch its flagship smartphone, Galaxy S, in China through all three major mobile operators: China Mobile, China, Telecom and China Unicom.
With its best-selling smartphone, Samsung hopes to catch up to its bigger rival, Nokia, in the world's largest handset market. It has sold 3 million Galaxy S units between April and June, including more than 1 million units each in Korea and the United States.

SK Telecom, which runs the online application marketplace called "T Store" for its smartphone users, said it will introduce an "In-App Ad" that is similar to Apple's iAd mobile advertising platform.
Once the "In-App Ad" is commercialized sometime this year, SK Telecom is expecting that the ad platform will help generate revenue for application developers.
