SON Patent Applications Increasing

Patent applications for a Self-Organizing Network (SON), which requires minimal human involvement in network planning and optimization tasks, has increased from 15 cases in 2007, to 34 cases in 2008 and now 15 cases in the first half of 2009, according to the KIPO.
